Experience the most famous love story of all time in an exhilarating live storytelling.

Verona is a fair city. You might have heard the story of Juliet and her Romeo who made it so famous. Perhaps you’ve even imagined standing underneath the balcony as Juliet gazed out into the Italian night.

But our star-cross’d lovers are from two rival families, the Capulets and the Montagues. They have to keep their love secret. And as we all know, secrets eventually lead to terrible things.

In the hour’s traffic of our stage, Fiona Drummond transports us to parties, gets mixed up in some street brawls and feels the heartbreak like we were there. Fiona is an actor, director and Learning Consultant at Shakespeare’s Globe.

Shakespeare's Globe's annual storytelling festival, Telling Tales, is back on stage this summer, until 22 August. These storytelling performances will take you on a sensory, interactive adventure, giving younger audiences the chance to get into Shakespeare’s stories in the splendid surroundings of our indoor Sam Wanamaker Playhouse.

All you need is your imagination!

  • Theatre, Literary, Heritage

the whole family can enjoy the magic of this brilliant interactive and fun storytelling performance together, as they learn about one of Shakespeare’s much loved plays.
