Liquorice Santa for SEND Families

Join us for our first ever SEND Christmas event at Pontefract Castle.

Choose from hands-on sensory activities to do whilst you wait to a chat with our very own Liquorice Santa about your Christmas list!

This event has limited capacity to give more space for SEND families to participate in activities.

Toilet facilities are located next to the activity zone.

Things to be aware of:

The museum display in the visitor centre has interactives that make sounds when visitors press buttons.

The light levels vary in different areas of the visitor centre.

Our staff can advise on areas where interactives and light levels may be of concern.

We have ear defenders we can provide upon request and a small pop-up space for children who may need an enclosed space to calm down. The lights in the visitor centre will be set as normal.

Where can I park?

Pontefract Castle car park is located on Beech Hill a short distance from the castle entrance - a walk of approx. 5min. Car park post code is WF8 2JF
