And to celebrate we’ve rounded up a few of our many enchanting dance activities and ballet-themed events for you to attend with the family.
Did you know? : People often think ballet originated in France but it actually originates from Italy in the 15th century. It was then popularised in France by Catherine de Medici, the Italian wife of King Henry II and since then, has become a dance form practised all over the world!

A feast of dance, music, costumes and lots of fun, this is a perfect introduction to ballet.
This interactive show, specially adapted for children aged 3+, features ballet excerpts from Peter and the Wolf, performed by Birmingham Royal Ballet’s amazing dancers and orchestra
