Behind The Scenes Family Store Tour, Coventry
Wednesday 23rd & 30th October, Herbert Art Gallery & Museum, Jordan Well, Coventry, West Midlands, CV1 5QP
An extra special opportunity to go behind the scenes at one of the West Midlands best loved museums! At the Herbert Art Gallery you can take a tour of the Natural History store, where you will encounter objects from our skeletal collection, including a mummified cat!
Designed especially for family groups, you will be shown objects from the museum collection that are not on display in the museum itself. This does include real deceased animals that have been preserved through taxidermy – so if you think your little ones might be spooked, talk to the museum team before taking the tour.
An interactive session where children and families can learn more about the Ancient Egyptian Pharaohs and then put their knowledge to the test by crafting their very own, authentic, Ancient Egyptian headdress! Ideal for keeping your young ones entertained during the holidays.
