Welcome to October! We've chosen our favourite online events suitable for all the family. See what you can get involved in at home this week.

1. Little Soundabout 

FREE. Tuesday 6 October, 10.30am - 11.15am. From Soundabout. Recommended for ages: 0 - 5 years. 

Join Soundabout on YouTube every Tuesday for Little Soundabout - multi-sensory music making sessions for children in the early years with SEN. 

In these free sessions parents and carers will learn new techniques for engaging with young children using music and sound whilst little ones enjoy some interactive music making!

Little Soundabout is aimed at parents and carers of very young children with profound and multiple learning disabilities.

2. Chamber Tots at Home

£8.00 per household. Wednesday 7 October, 10.00am. From Wigmore Hall. Recommended for ages: 1 - 5 years and grown-ups.

In this leafy adventure, Esther and Justyn explore the sounds and stories of autumn. Sing and play together and listen to live music along the way.

Esther Sheridan leads the workshop and you will hear Justyn Waterman on trombone.

3. Creative Dance Theatre for Children

Pay what you feel. Wednesday 7 October, 4.00pm - 5.00pm. From balletLORENT. Recommended for ages: 6 - 11 years. 

With balletLORENT Creative Associate and dancer, Gavin Coward, these Creative Dance Theatre sessions will consist of a fun and physical warm up, simple exercises, creative games, storytelling through dance theatre, and a chance for your child to be free to explore their own creativity. 

Book your classes online and select a one-off donation and you will receive a Zoom link and instructions via email.

4. Live from the DJ Shed

FREE. Saturday 10 October, 4.00pm - 5.00pm. From Dancin' Oxford. Recommended for all ages!

Calling party people of all ages. Join Dancin’ Oxford for their first Live from the DJ Shed, a virtual Family Disco.

Bringing the party to you, Dancin' Oxford beam it live to the comfort of your own home, with disco diva Roly with DJ Daley on the decks! 

Clear yourself a space, throw some funky moves to disco music, enjoy the fun and join in the disco games. Dressing up and disco lights are optional!

5. Live Storytelling

FREE. Wednesday 7 October, 6.45pm - 7.00pm. From She Productions and East Riding Theatre. Recommended for ages: 3 - 10 years.

Join She Productions every Wednesday through October for re-telling of classic fairytales live on the She Productions Facebook page.
