London: London Fire Brigade Pop-up Museum is hosting a free one day special event as part of London History Day for visitors of all ages to come and explore the history. Meet Samuel Pepys himself alongside our modern day London Fire Brigade firefighters. Fantastic for families!

Manchester: Milky Way Fun Day is all about Space, the Galaxy and aliens. Join Z-arts for an intergalactic mix of arts activities, all with a Space theme. Time to bring the night sky to life in the mobile planetarium and get ready to be over the moon. Free event, booking necessary!

Hull: Ohhh! I love Chocolate Cake! Who doesn’t? Michael Rosen’s Chocolate cake follows the adventures of two brothers and the mysterious night-time disappearance of a chocolate cake in this scrumptious new musical adaption of Michael Rosen’s beloved poem Chocolate Cake.

Brighton and Hove: Bring your friends and family and head outdoors for a free afternoon of inventive performances with lots for your littlies and spend A Weekend Without Walls.  From Bicycle Boy, The Bewonderment Machines, Wired, to The Band at the End of the World, The Playground of Illusions, Look Up by Hikapee, all kinds of weird and wonderful art activities are offered for families.

Leicester: Lie down and look at the SKY through your toes! Can you see the world upside down? Can you hear the stars? Attenborough Arts Centre hosts a day full of imagination for 1-5 year olds. Let’s go for a dream! Family of four is only £25. Buy 9 get 10th free.

Coventry: Playful Artful Stories is a perfect event for children creating crafty artwork inspired by the wonderful world of storytelling and the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum’s latest exhibition. How about trying your hand at yarn painting, patchworking, and making your very own story spoon person? Only £2.50 for Drop-ins and under 2s are free!

Durham: Bonjour! In Barnard Castle, the Bowes Museum celebrates Queen Victoria in Paris, climb aboard for the journey to France during The Majestic May Family Fun Day. Take part in the French inspired day, the home of their beloved founder Josephine Bowes. Who can build the tallest Eiffel Tower? Let’s start a competition! (Children must be accompanied by an adult for whom normal admission applies.)
