Art Meets Museum this October!
This October we’re shouting about the magic of museums and why they should be on every family’s activity list this autumn.
Here at Fantastic For Families we’re big advocates of arts and culture, and experiences which benefit the full family. Museums may be known for their exhibitions, but they offer so much more – such as arts and craft activities and even theatre, film and dance!
On the 13th October at Huguenot Museum in Rochester why not join the Kids Film Club? In partnership with the Rochester Film Society, children can enjoy a screening of Mary and the Witch’s Flower, a tale of adventure which sees Mary whisked about the clouds by a magical flower and broomstick.
Meanwhile in Luton on the 14th of October, Wardown Park Museum is being transformed into a theatre! Why not take the kids to see Full of Beans, a fairy tale adventure with a difference that will keep the children hooked.
At the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge on the 17th, we’re busting out the moves with Mini Movers at the Museum. Children are encouraged to explore the museum’s artwork through music and movement. They’ll be guided by elders from the Dancing at the Museum project and dance artist Filipa Pereira-Stubbs, allowing children to learn about dance and art, and the relationship between the two.
So, with so many things to offer, why not head to your local museum this month? For more ideas of things to do, visit www.fantasticforfamilies.com.
