Time to get Historical with Magic Museums in London!
This October, take your mini historians to your local London museum.
This autumn we’re sharing our passion for museums. From art to theatre and even dance, there’s so much to see and do at your local museum. And if your little historians want to discover more about the past, we’ve got you covered. With immersive activities perfect for the full family, learning has never been so fun!
At the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, on the 23rd of October, why not become Tudor Explorers? Discover the stories of exploration in the gallery and set sail for the new Tudor and Stuart Seafarers gallery with stories, movement and lots of 16th century music and song!
As you’ll know from our Easter theme, this year saw the 250th anniversary of the circus. So, why not head to the Museum of London between the 20th and the 28th of October for Celebrating the Circus. This engaging show, featuring cannons, beds of nails and more, teaches children and adults alike all about the history of the circus.
Of course, our activities aren’t just for kids; at Harrow Arts Centre on the 25th October, the family can get involved with We Will Remember: A Family Drama Workshop. Part of the Harrow 1918: Lest We Forget Season, and with the support of professional dramatist and Headstone Manor & Museum’s team, families will create and perform short plays in response to archive materials held by the museum, telling the story of the Great War in Harrow.
