Horrible Halloween at Waddesdon Manor
It is ok for summer to end, as long as we’ve got an amazing Halloween to celebrate on our horizon. Waddesdon Manor is by no means one of the best options to spend this Half Term exploring the Halloween theme and creating your own Halloween decoration. You can even carve a pumpkin that has grown on Waddesdon Manor’s soil!
And there is more… If you haven’t checked their exhibition Creatures & Creations this is an opportunity to do so, as there will be a walk through the woods that was inspired by Creatures & Creations, which will encourage participants to find Snugglewump, Bumrox, Makem, Squela and many more Creatures of the Night.
As a special treat, on Wednesday 25 October, you will be able to join children’s author and illustrator Harriet Muncaster for a special reading of Isadora Moon Goes to School. Isadora is half vampire, half fairy; there is nothing that could be more Halloween-y, right?
To culminate this spook-tacular Half Term week, there will be A Fête Worse than Death, which will include live performances, face painting and plenty of Halloween activities and games.
And if you, or your little monsters, fancy it, there will be a Spooky Afternoon Tea in the Manor Restaurant, and the Wigman Café will be open for everyone to enjoy a good cuppa hot chocolate.
