Free Friday Workshop - Music, Movement, Storytelling (online)

Join Megan and James for a free Zoom music session with your little ones (ages ~2-6), every Friday 10:30 - 11:15am

Our Friday Workshops delve into the imagination of your little ones, and are great for burning some energy, developing listening and movement skills and growing confidence and creativity through musical exploration. 

We use an original, high quality and adventurous mixture of music, storytelling and movement that helps develop the creativity of the whole child, and harnesses young children’s innate abilities to experience and enjoy a diverse range music from around the world. Each week explores a different theme and uses a variety of engaging activities, which naturally develop motor skills, coordination, listening, literacy and improvisation abilities with an emphasis on running with the imagination and real life experiences of the child - the interactive Zoom format means we can invite children to shape the sessions and have a go at directing and experimenting with live professional musicians in a truly accessible and fun way!

Workshop overview:

Welcome and warm-up movement game

Themed story creation using improvised music, sounds and actions

Music and movement games exploring pitch, rhythm, pulse and their relationship to the bodyJam session with professional musicians (no instruments needed!)
