Come along and join this online workshop where you will create a collection of clay Hibernating Animals! Conjure up images of warm, cosy animals in the darkest depths of Winters grip as you make these shapes from the clay.
You will learn the skills to make these animals and develop some knowledge to take away and develop your ideas further in your own time! When finished you could display your animals in a Box Frame which will keep them safe for years to come!
A step-by-step illustrated guideline will be available to download after the workshop, to enable families to continue working on their final pieces.
This workshop is recommended for children aged 5+, children must be accompanied by a supervising adult at all times.
Saturday 3 April 2021, 10-11am. Live via Zoom.
Recommended ticket price is £4.50 per family.
This workshop is part of Family First Saturdays, which are for families of all ages to join in a fun and creative Seasonal workshops led by our team of artist leaders, inspired by form, colour or Seasonal traditions, workshops will be accompanied by a brief history of the subject, making method or materials used.

Within the hour, children and families will be given a brief introduction to the artist and the outcomes of the workshop, followed by a making session and ending on a display of work by the group.Workshops will be live, delivered online via Zoom from the artist home studio for February, March and April 2021.
These hour long sessions are designed to stimulate and educate children and young people in visual arts and heritage craft, supporting their creative development and experiences in:
- participating in arts and heritage craft activities
- learning about the artist tutors and their work
- sharing their artwork and ideas with friends, families and each other
Once you have booked your ticket, you will be sent the link to the live workshop as well as a downloadable step-by-step guide so that you can continue working on your final pieces after the workshop.
