Pontefract Museum is situatedin Pontefract town centre and is packed full of life, history and artefacts tracing the history of the growth of Pontefract Town, from medieval times to the Civil War, to working in the liquorice factories, to life in a workhouse; and a room dedicated to the local glass industry. The museum is a short walk from Pontefract Castle.
