Tramshed
The building, which is now home to Greenwich & Lewisham Young People’s Theatre, was built as a generating station in 1916 and powered trams in the area until they ceased to run in 1953, so holds lots of local history. With great transport links (DLR, National Rail, 17 bus routes River boats, and Crossrail coming soon) The Tramshed is in the heart of the Woolwich. Close by are shops, cafes and supermarkets. There is a large modern green space just over the road for picnics and moving around. Come inside where there is a studio space (a workshop space and often a cafe/bar) and versatile large black box theatre - perfect for creating different theatrical atmospheres. The venue has a welcoming and relaxed feeling and staff are always on hand to help.
