The National Archives

We are a non-ministerial department, and the official archive and publisher for the UK Government, and for England and Wales. We are the guardians of over 1,000 years of iconic national documents.
We collect and secure the future of the government record, from Shakespeare’s will to tweets from Downing Street, to preserve it for generations to come.

Our family-friendly offer
The Time Travel Club is a children's (5-7s and 8-11s) workshop series hosted by The National Archives. We run workshops on Saturdays and during half-term to introduce children to history in a fun and interactive way. Time Travellers will be given a passport and can collect stamps at each event they take part in.
We also run activity sessions for Tots (2-4 years) and Tinies (0-2 years), as well as free drop-in Craft Club sessions
The Time Travel Club is kindly supported by the Friends of The National Archives.
