Located in a listed Victorian building in the centre of Carmarthen, the gallery is pivotal to the cultural energy and identity of the town.

Our family-friendly offer
The egalitarian and aspirational principals of the organisation, that were laid down on the official opening of the Carmarthen School of Art in 1892, were transferred to the Oriel Myrddin Trust on the opening of Oriel Myrddin Gallery in 1991. These core principles remain central to the gallery activity today; the foundation of which is to operate an inclusive, free art gallery engaging, challenging and enabling local and regional visitors of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to participate in the gallery’s exhibitions and education programmes.
We currently only have a staircase up to the education space, however with this in mind we also offer events offsite in locations which are accessible.
