Fantasic For Families

The Roche Court Educational Trust (RCET) works with families, teachers, young people and specialist groups to develop confidence and skills by looking, thinking and speaking about art. We provide workshops for families throughout the year to encourage the enjoyment of looking, talking about and making art together. The sessions promote a fun, supported environment in which to explore the outdoor and indoor exhibitions at the New Art Centre and then try out mixed media drawing and sculpture techniques.

Our aim is to provide a greater understanding and enjoyment of the culture of our age. We encourage everyone to speak amongst themselves and in public about the visual world, raising their aspirations and increasing their knowledge.

The charity is based at the New Art Centre sculpture park and gallery near Salisbury. Our programme is led by experts and supported by artists who exhibit at Roche Court.

Our family-friendly offer

The Trust runs a hugely successful Family Workshop programme during each school holiday through the academic year. If you are interested in finding out further details about our Family Workshop Programme please email us at edu@sculpture.uk.com.

We also offer a range of Home Learning resources on our website and via our social media channels. Online resources include the Multi Sensory Art Project 2020: Super Nature - an array of sensory artist videos and activities for all ages and abilities, but particularly tailored to Early Years and SEN children.

Accessibility

We tailor every visit and workshop to fit your requirements, and are always willing to provide additional access support.  Due to the nature of the parkland and buildings we regret that not all areas are accessible for wheelchair users however we can arrange to put a ramp out to assist with access and suggest alternative routes around the Sculpture Park depending on weather and ground conditions. Please do contact us for a chat before you visit to discuss any access queries.
