Brentwood Theatre

The community theatre at the heart of Brentwood

In 1981, a group of local theatre lovers decided it was high time Brentwood had its own theatre; somewhere built by the community, for the community.

Some 11 years later, their dreams and plans were realised as Brentwood Theatre first opened its doors.  Since then, the Theatre has continued under the stewardship of so many dedicated people to become the vibrant and challenging performance arts space it is today.

Now, over 20,000 people come through our doors each year, during which we host more than 250 performances.  Run by just a few core staff and supported by a team of volunteers, Brentwood Theatre is testament to both the need for such a venue in our town and the tenacity and talent of those who create the performances seen.

As we approach our 25th Anniversary at the end of 2018, we will continue to build on our successes and ensure we reach right to the heart of our community; to provide a place where the Arts in their many varied forms can be celebrated and enjoyed by all.
