The Beaney has an accessible entrance at Best Lane, with step free access into the building, a platform lift and a flight of ‘easy going’ steps, which are comfortable for the ambulant disabled and allow for push chairs and other mobility equipment.
The building has accessible toilets on all levels plus baby changing facilities. Our split level reception and library counters have been used throughout to allow access for both standing and seated visitors.
A 12 space disabled car park is also available at the rear of the building, along with accessible public toilets.
To assist the visually impaired, we also have braille signage.
Also we have numerous Touchable Beaney objects on display.
