North Bristol Community Project

Fantasic For Families

We design and deliver quality creative courses and arts workshops in a venue of the customers choice.

Activities promote and celebrate diversity, where possible using recycled materials.

In our sewing courses, participants learn about sustainability, how to  repurpose vintage textiles, upcycle, make do and mend  materials which would otherwise go into landfill. Participants learn to create beautiful, one of a kind clothing, home accessories and gifts they can be proud of making, using hand stitch and machine sewing methods.

Our family-friendly offer

Where possible we encourage inter-generational activities which will appeal to a broad range of family members. We recognise the growing need for children, parents, grand-parents and other carers to be able to enjoy quality time together and  sharing new experiences.

We welcome young children from the age of seven, accompanied by a responsible adult. Children over the age of 12 can attend without an adult present, providing they have written parental consent to do so.

Due to the limitations of our building (which is very old) and lack of funding, we are unable to provide disabled access or cater for children with complex needs or have baby changing facilities. The space is unable to accommodate wheelchairs or buggies as the passageways are narrow and would cause obstruction.

The site is well served by public transport. The number 75 and 76 busses stop close by. For car users, there is parking in the side streets, just off the A38.
