The Museum of London tells the story of the capital from its first settlers to modern times. We have sites in central London, Docklands and in Hackney. Our galleries based at the Museum of London in central London vividly tell the story of the city and its people. Little could archivists of a small piece of Roman mosaic have imagined the museum growing into the urban and social history centre visitors see today. We now receive over a million visitors to our museums each year and hold the largest archaeological archive in Europe. We care for more than two million objects in our collections.
