New Art Exchange (NAE) is a contemporary arts space in Nottingham that celebrates the region's cultural richness and diversity. It is the largest gallery in the UK dedicated to culturally diverse contemporary visual arts. The venue presents an ever-changing programme of art exhibitions, creative activities for families and young people, film screenings, symposiums, lectures, festivals and a live performance programme of music, dance and theatre. Entry to NAE is FREE!
In addition to three gallery spaces, the venue has a café bar serving delicious home-made food from around the world. We also house a number of workshops and performance spaces.

Our family-friendly offer
To inspire the next generation of artists and creative producers, New Art Exchange provides a range of opportunities to engage families and young people with creative practice. Our Youth and Family programme has a number of different strands intended to engage a range of abilities and ages. Often inspired by the theme of our exhibitions, all of our sessions combine creativity, learning and fun, to build artistic skills and to encourage a greater understanding of the visual arts.
Our programme of Family Friendly workshops are designed to encourage intergenerational learning and play between young people and their family/guardians. The sessions, suitable for all ages from toddlers to grandparents, incorporate craft, art, dance and theatre.
