Clwyd Theatr Cymru is Wales’ major drama producing operation, originally built as a Regional Arts Centre.
It is the home of a highly acclaimed producing company, which also presents much of its work on tour throughout Wales and the rest of the UK. The company produces mainly in English, but also in Welsh. There is a fully integrated Theatre for Young People department which uses the same performers, technicians and creative staff to achieve the same high production values as the mainstream product. The theatre also hosts a variety of touring drama, dance, music and a community Festival in the Summer. There are around 900 public performances per year. Clwyd Theatr Cymru is supported by the Arts Council of Wales and Flintshire County Council

HYNT Membership Card Scheme
Hynt is a national scheme that works with theatres and arts centres across Wales to make things clear and consistent. It’s also a resource for anyone who needs specific access information to plan a trip to the theatre. We are part of the Hynt scheme as we believe it offers our customers the very best practice in fair ticketing policy and accessibility.
Hynt cardholders are entitled to a ticket free of charge for a personal assistant or carer at all the theatres and arts centres participating in the scheme. Click here find out whether you or the person you care for are eligible for a card or click here to apply.
www.hynt.co.uk provides a range of useful information and guidance on the scheme and how it works. It’s also a resource for anyone interested in information or news around access and the arts. The site features listings of all accessible performances as well as providing up to date venue information to help you plan your visit. We will be happy to talk you through the scheme and our part in it. If you would like to speak to a member of Theatr Clwyd staff, please contact 01352 701521

We have designated disabled parking spaces at the front of the building for Blue Badge holders.
We have an induction loop system in all our venues.
During Captioned performances (by Stagetext) the words will appear on screen positioned in the auditorium at the same time as the actors speak so that people with a hearing loss can understand fully.
